Last year I was supposed to go to Uganda to work with rescued street children. I was going to work with a family friend and his organization, Cornerstone Development. I ended up not being able to go because there was a terrorist attack that happened a week before I was supposed to go during the world cup. Today I read in an article that they sentenced two of the men responsible.
One thing that stood out to me the most in the article was this… “Somalia’s al-Shabab said the bombings, which targeted people watching the World Cup final, were in retaliation for Uganda’s participation in the African Union’s peacekeeping mission in Somalia.”
It’s insane to me that people would actually BOMB people just because they are trying to make PEACE. Hate is such a cripling disease.
I pray that God would completely get ahold of these two convicted men’s lives and restore them to be the people he created them to be. May they be transformed by the understanding of his love and who they are in him.

Today was great. :) I’ve laughed so hard tonight w/friends that I’m starting to lose my voice. Dang, did I need that! I can’t imagine going through life with out a sense of humor or joy. Life’s too short to be uptight or care what people think.
